First it was the husband, then the lil boy! Now it's me. We are all coughing!
The weather is another factor! But again I am not complaining! At times I still wonder if we are in the sunshine state!
M loves the song "Rock a bye baby on the treetop" He would ask me to sing it over and over (yup even when I am coughing). Lunch time he said, "Mom, I like this song so much. Your voice is so beautiful." My heart melted. If only he could be 4 yrs old forever! Heheheh..
When I shared that story with the husband, the H said to M in a loud voice. "Son, what did i tell you. No lying." Aswang ko talaga, patawa!
Oh..and when I gave M his bath, he had a little mug in the shower! He was trying to get the water (which was a bit warm) and then he said "Mom, this is coffee (play pretend) See it's hot! (pretneds to drink it)..And then he goes on.."Mom, coffee gives you cough right? I said "Huh..? I don't know. M then said, "Yeah they do Coffee..Cough..Coff Cough..Get it Mom?"
I laughed. Hard!
I don't know. I guess I just have to blog!
Thanks Keith for reading my stories and leaving comments huh! Me nagbabasa pa pala sa blog ko. Regards to you & Pinks. :)

One Saturday Morning
Hello world! Gosh, I did not realize that I haven't been posting! I still leave my comments to my favorite blogs only to remember that I have my own blog to post my thoughts!
To start with, I am so happy for my good friend Weng who is having her first year anniversary for CafeMunchkin . It all started with the crinkles from Abby & Meeya & Weng of course. And the rest, as they say, is history!
I am so happy for Weng that I have decided to join her contest. Happy 1st birthday!Plus the fact that I want to win in the contest and get that bag..hehehhe..so here I am writing!
I looked at my old pictures and saw some pics of my little boy M who has been very influential in my cooking/baking/experimenting at my kitchen! He is the reason why I cook and why I bake! He loves to help me whenever I am in the kitchen.

So last Saturday morning, as I was about to post an entry to join the contest, M again tried his best to help me bake.

Oh, and I got this idea from marikit Tin who told me to put the banana mixture into cupcakes. That way, it was easy for M to eat them.

This blondies recipe I got from Cafemunchkin. Hindi lang kasingganda ng gawa ni Weng huh. Pero pwede na daw sabi ni M.

Yup, this all happened last Saturday. M and I baked banana cupcakes and blondies! Another bonding time!
Well, M and I also enjoyed eating them afterwards. Now, that's another story to tell!

Hi all. Thanks marikit Tin for reminding me to update!:) (Tamaditis is on me.)
We were housesitting K's house, H's colleague. M and I (and sometimes H if his time permits) go to the community pool everyday and if it is closed, we go to pool number 2, which is the pool at the townhouse, a 3 minute drive from our place. It's good that we have pool number 3 temporarily esp. now that K's on vacation at Illinois so we have been enjoying her pool for the past 3 weeks. I had to share this clip as I cannot help but laugh (halakhak) at H's nervousness when M tries to reach for the ball in the deep part of the pool (read 6 ft).
The video ends with H paddling to go the safe zone. Malikot si M, at malakas ako humalakhak, obvious ba?

Trying to update
Hello all! How have you been? Me??? Busy. I think everyone is though a lot of my blogger friends still update their blog. I wish I could do the same!
To recap, last May 18, our friends/neighbors from BMH had their annual summer outing. They can invite other friends to enjoy the fun in the sun at Shipwreck Island. This has been our 3rd time to join them. The entrance fee is free as well as food (burgers, hotdogs, chips, etc) Buti na lang talaga, me friendships kami. We wouldn't miss this annual event. For the last 3 years, this marks the beginning of our summer events!
Here's my boys all geared up!

We went to Shipwreck Island and our tent was by their famous wave pool. M would run everytime he heard the booming sound from the wave pool. That was hilarious for me. Anyway, almost all the pinoys who work in the hospital are present together with their families! It was a day filled with water, food and fun under the sun!

The happiest boy was of course M who enjoyed the slides, the lazy river, and all the other water rides the waterpark offers. Sulit sa kanya!

By 5 pm, we were all ready to go home as all our toddlers missed their afternoon nap. Look at what they're having a feast at! I swear I heard them say "toss pare!" They are all coke deprived so imagine their treat!

This was the week where I believe the entry for Litratong Pinoy was Tubig. I should have posted a lot of M's pics enjoying the water here at Shipwreck WATERPARK. Tamang tama sana. Should have, could have!
A week after that (twas the Memorial weekend I believe), we decided to have M enjoy the water right here at the backyard while we do our gardening thingy. Here he is enjoying the crazy sprinkler! Pang LP entry sana ulit..heheheh..

Do you know that we live 5 minutes away from the beach? So we had our annual picnic and annual outing as well last May 31st. All the pinoys in our village brought food pot luck style at St. Andrews Park . I want to take note of the yummy laing and escabeche and inihaw na bangus, (the bbq was alright and the hotdogs for kids) Busog na busog kaming lahat! Madaming natira promise!
Ninong R knew what the kids wanted so they all gathered up to have their ice candy treat!

"Can we go to the beach now pls?" asked M. I said, "Magpalamig ka muna. Eto ang juice. Mataas pa ang araw." So M sipped his juice.
"Can we go now?" asked M again. I said, "Go play in the slide/playground (beside our table) Mainit pa rin anak!".

"Can we go to the beach now?" M asked for the nth time. (Well, all the kids were asking the same thing) I said,"magpalamig ka muna jan sa taas ng puno."

By 4pm, we then went to the beach and enjoyed the waters! (It was still inside St. Andrews) It doesn't compare to Boracay or Palawan or any beach in Pinas, but still, the company made it alright!

We had lots of leftovers so we went to Ninong R's house to eat dinner and also watch Cloverfield. Grabe ang araw na ito. We started eating early morning, had a great lunch at the park, then dinner here at the M's. The kids are all tired so we went home at 10pm. Natapos din.
I finally got to post our gimiks for May. Now, I have to do our June gimiks naman. Hirap mag update. Have I mentioned I enrolled M in a swimming class? See, I got tons of pics to show!

8 Things I am grateful for- a tag from Tin
I was tagged by Tin last March. This one haunts me as I know I have so many blessings to be thankful for aside from tags to complete. To wit, I am grateful for:
1. God loves me so much - I just thank God that He is always present in my life. Early on, I could be stubborn and hard headed at times but God never gave up on me. I am thankful that I have accepted Him to be my Lord and my Saviour at an early age. ( I was in my teens when I wanted to become a nun but God had a different plan for me. ) Besides, the nuns in the monastery will not accept me . I could be a disgrace in their society - lol :))
2. My husband - Love moves in mysterious ways (our wedding song). He is the reason why I left the comforts of Pinas and I never ever regret the decision I made when I said yes to his marriage proposal! I have met so many wrong ones before H came into my life and when I met him, I knew he was the one. We had a whirlwind romance. I asked God for a sign and God gave me the sign that I asked. So, who am I to argue on God's plan?
3. My son- Every mom knows that their kid is a precious gift grom God. M has taught me a lot of things, that I can love beyond any love I've known, that I can be happy by seeing thru my son's eyes and his points of view. I am blessed that I get to see him grow up before my eyes, nurture him, potty train him, cook for him, shopped for him, build his railroad tracks, play with him at the park, push him in his swing, explore the world in his eyes, listen to his ideas, everything with him is just marvelous! I am madly in love with my son even when he has his tantrums! All moms are like that, I think!
4. My family and the extended ones - My dad cried buckets when I left them but still, he would always be the one to say , take care of your husband, etc etc. My siblings had always been there for me too even though we would fight and argue, still we love each other to bits. The IL's have also been very helpful and I am just thankful that they raised the husband into a very fine man. (and spoil M whenever they can.)
5. My friends- Friends--blogger friends, old friends, new friends, whoever I share myself with is another reason to be thankful for. They are my jewels who can understand what I am going through, what my dreams are, etc. My day will not be complete without a phone call from a friend, a ym message from another dear friend, a text message, etc. I am blessed to have a few good friends whom I truly cherish.
6. Good health - Praise God the entire family (here and there) have been in the bestest of health. As they say, health is wealth!
7. Ability to go back to school (and hopefully finish a 2nd degree) - When I went back to school, it wasn't just me. H had to do his part and M too. H had to be happy with what's on the dinner table and M had to wake up early so I can bring him to my friend D so she can watch and take care of him. Another perk is that M can play with S too. The idea of a daycare still scares me. My dream is to finish this course before I turn 50. Hahahaha...
8. Every single day - Every morning I thank God I am alive to experience all His blessings. I can move, dance, sing, cook, play, laugh, rant, bloghop, nag and do the laundry, dishes, plant a tree, smell the flowers, etc. It's great to be alive!
Yehey..Thanks Tin for this! I don't know who to tag so if you feel like doing this, please feel free to snag. Now, I still owe Pinky and Meeya a tag. I'll try to do that before I turn 40. Joke lang!

Late greeting
Hello everyone!!
Belated happy mother's day to all the moms who read my blog! I'm sure all of you had a blast celebrating that day! Motherhood is such a precious gift entrusted by God and I am so thankful that He gave me that!
So, what did i do on Mother's day?? Just window shopped and drooled on fab bags and took care of 4 kids on that day at the mall! Here's the pic to prove it!

I brought these kids to the mall but I got their moms who are my good friends with me. There is no way I can push three strollers all at the same time. Eating out with these kids is already a challenge. Last Sunday, I only had one boy to be in charged of, which is the reason why I became a mom in the first place.
Here he is!

For our Mother's day celebration weekend, the L's, the D's and us, drove to Atlanta. We arrived Friday night at BIL's house. It was a 2 bedroom townhouse so our sleeping arrangement had to be girl's room and boy's room. The kids slept with the moms of course as the dads had a snoring contest on the other room. (hehehehe)
How can you put 3 kids to sleep all in one room? It was a hard task but it could be done. Prayer is the answer. Although, it took a while for them to sleep as S, I and M would play, jump from one bed to another, giggle and talk at 12 midnight. Since when did the kids had to had conversations first before going to sleep? Hmmm...M was the first one to sleep though. He got that from his dad.
Saturday morning, we went to our purpose and goal in life--nope, the purpose of this trip is actually to shop here!

We made IKEA rich while IKEA made us poor. They had a daycare service but unfortunately, M chickened out. We had him signed in and he saw I, R, & S playing inside the play area but M stepped out and he insisted he wanted to go shopping with us instead. I made him promise that he'll behave in his stroller as we do our shopping. Luckily, he kept his promise. I made H promise that he'll stick with the budget. H kept his promise as well. That's a mother's day treat for me. ;)
We bought the entertainment center we had been eyeing at NJ last month. The L's bought the same thing with a slightly different design. They came prepared as they had measured their den so they were done shopping in less than 2 hours. The D's bought a bedroom set, an impulsive one as they say. It was a good thing Thunder carried the whole showcase. Too bad, IKEA ran out of the glass doors for the said entertainment center. We had no choice but to come back on Sunday when the doors will be available according to their inventory person. The L's needed that glass door too.
We had dinner at our fave Dimsum house and then we decided to give the kids a treat by going to Chuck E Cheese's. The kids loved it!

A smart move by the parents, I think. The kids had fun and of course, they all got tired playing, running, sliding, etc. It was only M who didnt want to go home when they closed. M would say, "No Mom, I want to play at Chuckee Cheeke's." That's how he said it. Funny! We went home and put this kids on the tub as they took their shower. We changed them into their jammies and us moms took turns in the shower. (Nope, we couldn't fit into the tub too bad for the dads. :)) The kids played some more and then they slept early. Well, it was already 11pm when they dozed off but compared last night, it was earlier!
Sunday was Mom's day and the boys had to go to IKEA to pick up the ordered glass doors. The girls/mommies had a meeting the night before that we will not go to IKEA anymore. Instead, we would just hang out at the mall with the kids, check a play area for the kids or shop for the moms. Wishful thinking.
The boys agreed and said that they would pick us up when they were done. I drove the girl's van off to the mall while H drove the boy's truck off to IKEA. Boys and girls, girls and boys.
At the mall, it was so tempting to get a new bag but I know that H and I just shopped at IKEA to my heart's and house's content. I had to content myself from trying on the purses. For me, the purses were alive and I could feel their heartbeat on my shoulders. Tama na muna yun. Mommy A and Mommy D got some stuff at Ann Taylor. Mommy A almost bought the other purse at Burberry. Me?? Dream on...Someday, pagkabayad ke IKEA. (at pagkatapos mag-aral--hahahah..Swerte talaga ni H sa akin..hahahahahha)
The mall had a laser thing where kids would chase it and play around a little mat. It looked like a little advertisement for the company logo's. They had fun playing at those light laser beams.

After getting the glass doors, the boys called us up. The boys wanted us to have lunch together at 2pm but it was hard for us to bring all 3 kids to where they were. Besides, we had lunch earlier because of the kids. We waited for the boys at the mall instead. Finally, we were able to leave Atlanta at 3pm. Another 4 hour drive awaits us. As M's DVD played Toy Story 2, exactly 5 minutes later, M got to take his nap. Here's M in his delayed nap time.

It was a fun road trip! I do love long travels with H and M but I love it most when trips are shared with friends. Mas maraming chismis. Hehehehe. We had numerous stops when the kids needed a bathroom break, the kids wanting to have a dvd swap (I want to watch S's movie not my movie, why is it that they want to have what the other one was currently watching?), the kids craving to eat a Sonic burger and fries and mac and cheese, and a lot of kid's demands (and dad's too) It was indeed a weekend filled with all the reasons why I love being a mom, a wife, and a friend !!
Have a great week y'all!

Weekend plans
It's the last week of school and I can't wait to have my summer break! My last day is on Thursday and it's also the day that I take my final exam. I can only pass if I start to study and not blog. Lord help me please on this test. Amen!
I have been looking for fun things to do for M and me. I've only enrolled in a swimming class which will start on the 27th of May. There is a swimming class that will start on the 12th but I decided not to enroll on that one as I wanted to take a week or so to do some more of my spring cleaning/organizing. H commented that the house looks good lately as I try to do a little cleaning of this and that. He then reprimanded me to go back on my books as school is not over yet. (Eh sa masarap maglinis ng bahay eh..)
Last Friday was dvd night for H and me as we watched the movie Hitman . Action and violent scenes do not make me happy plus I had to cut my dvd moment short as I had to tuck M to his bed early. I got to sleep early too and so did H. Sleep is something we enjoy doing. Yup, nakatulog kami sa movie just like what we did with all the dvd movies we've watched. Antukin family is our name.
Then on Saturday, we headed to Pier Park for some family bonding time! We stayed at Borders where M enjoyed reading Thomas train books. I got to hang around with the other kids in the kids area. H also had a great time as he enjoyed looking/browsing at the magazines mostly on renovating/designing. We wanted to do something else for the house for the nth time. :) It rained that afternoon but we managed to stroll along the new opened outlets like Old Navy, VS, etc.
On Sunday, I had to do my closed captioning thingy at the church as I am training my friend N to do captioning volunteer! I had to attend the mass at 10am to cover the mass for tv and then attend the mass again at 1145 where R had his 1st communion. Now that R is on the second grade, I still remember seeing R for the first time when he was only 3 years old, a little toddler, and now he's tall, smart, top of his class and he was wearing a black tie on his special day! After hearing mass, all 6 invited families for R's communion went to Crasy Buffet (that's how their name was spelled) where the L's treated us for lunch! It was just hard to have all the kids aged 3 and below eat their food as they all wanted to go down their high chairs and play. M was the only one who was able to sit for 15 minutes and then he just cant wait to play with his playmates J, S, I, J and RJ. The celebrant R was the only one who had no playmates in his age group. Wawa..Luckily, M belongs to the same age group as that of our neighbors/friends' kids so M had a grand time. I just felt embarrassed in a way as the kids started playing with the balloons given by the waiters. The kids would toss it up on the air and then the balloons would land on the other customer's tables who obviously, also just wanted to enjoy their late lunch. We were strategically seated in the corner away from the other tables but still the kids would just ran, play and I felt it would have been easier had we stayed in the house instead. But the L's are known for their no-fuss parties so they opted to have the celebration here at the restaurant. Anyway, I just thought that if they have a right to stay then so do we as we paid for our lunch (este- it was L's treat nga pala ) Good thing too the other customers were not the snob type as they know that kids are just being kids! I'm being too hard on myself I think!
It was on this lunch date that we all finalized our road trip to Atlanta this weekend. We will leave PC at 4pm and drive to Atlanta where my BIL's house is. That house is 5 minutes away from Lenox Mall. Though the guys wanted to go to IKEA , girls might hang out at the mall instead. I do want to go to IKEA as H and I were bitin in our shopping at NJ last month. We'll do IKEA on Saturday then the mall on Sunday. Eating dimsum is also in the agenda! How will I ever lose my 25 lbs? (Buti pa si J)
Gotta study now! Have a fun week everyone! I'm sorry I don't have pictures because my camera said goodbye to me last Sunday! At R's communion, my LCD screen just went blank. I brought it to BestBuy yesterday and they said that they will try to fix it . It is a good thing that my 4 year warranty protection plan expires this September 08 so my camera is still covered. If they won't be able to fix it, they'll let me have a new camera within the price range of my old one! Wow! H prayed that the camera won't be repaired. I doubt it though. But if they give me a new one, who am I to say no?
(Ooopps, about the tags that I owe--Weng, Tin, etc- sa bakasyon gagawin ko na po, sorry huh..busy lang talaga)
Oh, thank you for all those who gave good comments on H's birthday bash! We enjoyed it to the max and our friends are asking us about our plans next year! And those who left a comment on M's sad picture, thank you! Di naman laging umiiyak si M.---Yaiks, need to find my entry for LP. After the test, maybe!
Cheers everyone!!

M is 3!
Forgive me as I forgot how to upload pics here at blogger! Tumatanda na ang lola! Would this work?
PICTURES
I hope so! I am trying to find the easiest way to upload my pictures and send it via email to friends and relatives and I am trying this one! If I could only have the slideshow presentation like I see on other blogs..Pano kaya yun? Help pls..If you dont see the pictures, just scroll down! Bear with me please.
Things have been sooo busy. Finals is next week. We have not been spending a single weekend at our house except last Saturday, April 19 when we had M's party! I wanted to join the LP where I had the pabitin as my entry to kwadrado but then I missed it.
Praise God M's party was a huge success! It was sunny all week long and we can almost feel summer and yet on that Saturday morning, it rained! Huhuhu..Pano na ang lechon! We had to set up a tent by the lechonan area. Still, we just felt God's love as our friends came over to spend this day and did all their best to help us! H tried to cook lechon and boy he did it! We live in a small town here in FL and when I asked one of the lechon supplier in town he said he'll charge me $250 but when it was H's turn to call him for a quote, he's now charging $450. By then H decided he will be the one to cook lechon with MJ's help. MJ had a machine which will make the lechon rotate so it will not be too tedious on H's part. H was up for the experience as it was what he called a labor of love for M (or the lechon) He searched for recipes and searched for a pig supplier as well as the kawayan!
Buzz Lightyear was M's theme and he was dressed up for the party c/o Ninang S who gave him his long sleeve shirt with matching buzz tie. Ninang S also gave him a jersey shirt so he can change when it's play time! We rented an 18ft giant wet/dry slide for the kids (and adults) Ninang S also brought her choco fountain so everyone indulged in the semi-sweet chocolate coated fruits (and chips==as some of the kids tried to dip the chips;))
M clapped his hands when he was able to blow his 3 candles..He was a picture of such innocence and happiness! He loved opening his presents! And shouts aloud when it's a toy..Looks for the next present when it's a set of clothes..(Mom shouts yehey pag damit ang regalo)
We had games like soldier hunt, pabitin, pinata! The party started at 2pm yet a lot of our guests came earlier (lunchtime). Later at night, Tito B cooked sisig which is so good it was just hard to resist! C had to rush to Publix to get beer for the boys! Would you believe our guests stayed at 12 midnight..And by 8am, our neighbors were back as they know we have leftovers for breakfast!! We did not mind their company as we treasure our friends who helped us pull this party for M! Bayanihan is still present here! If not, I don't know how we would have survived that party! Thank you Lord for great friends who made M's party an unforgettable one! For our family whom we terribly miss and sent their greetings via mails, bless them too! But I just pray that M will grow up to be a good, Godly and obedient young man! And that He will always protect M wherever he may be. Amen!

NY trip
I'm back.
Well, at least for a while! Spending time with bff I was the best! She had the most gorgeous house I've ever seen that we did not want to leave her place! It was very easy convincing H to move to NJ but then, it might take some more time! Hopefully, when I finish school which would be about 5 years from now. Bwahahahah..I'm taking it slow! Too slow..
My son had a great time flying! He was the most excited person in the whole plane! He quipped as we were about to take off.."Ohhh, mom, I'm flying!" We had him seated at the window so he could see everything! He was really brave to fly! Well, he did flew home last 2006 but he was a baby then! And we, H and I were brave to fly 18 hours with him! (Minus layovers) Did that twice in a year! ( I was breastfeeding back then..what else defines bravery:))
I leave you with a few pictures but the stories are still all bottled up in my mind!
I had a great time, but that's an understatement!
I have to unpack! And then, pack again! Buti na lang, I love long drives!
Laundry to follow! (Oh..and the story, sometime, when time permits)

The concert
We watched the H's concert at Jax, Fl last Saturday! We left the house at 12 noon instead of the 10am plan so my girlfriends were calling me as it was almost past five when we got to Jax and the concert will start at 7pm. Still, we were able to dig in a cup of rice and ohh lala..korean ribs in the sweetest sauce by supermom S! At 6pm, off we drove to Times Union PA. It took us 30 minutes to get there and find a good parking spot. The parking fee was only $10 but the attendant charged us $15 as it was a special concert according to him. Hmmm..
Inside the concert hall, we went to the restroom and A said, "Wow, para tayong nasa SM Shoemart" kasi puro pinoy. There were also some husbands who escorted their wives (like my H who is so manly and confident that I will be in my poised figure when the concert starts--and with the hope that I will remember that I am married to him and him alone.)
We were ushered to third row (waaa..row 3, at least di row 4- dunno kung sino makakaintindi nito) which is really nice as we were seated in the middle row, (read--pangatlo mula sa harap. Ang lapit talaga namin pramis)which is a very good view for me. We were made to wear this pink wrist band to serve as our pass to the VIP room where after the concert, we would get to meet the stars of the show and have their autograph/signatures. Showbiz..
Ang mga lola sa harap ng kamera!

Magagandang walang pera! We realized we needed a bottle of water and we didnt have the money to pay for it (@$3.00 )

The star of the show!
It was a fun show all because of Pokwang and JL. It was like they were just talking in the stage, singing, saying those funny spiels unscripted but nothing extraordinary. S was handsome in person and was also game and could sing well though he chose hard songs. JL could hardly reach the high notes in an easy song but he was the most charming among the three. His spiel brought the house down by saying that he is more guwapo than Papa P. Of course Pokwang was the funniest and the most talented. She could sing and dance Shakira style! My, and she's got the curves! Sadly, P was snobbish though he could sing pretty well. P did not go near the stage or around the hall as opposed to S and Jl. I felt that he had made himself a wall or something where no one can even enter! He did not shook hands when he was onstage nor tried to be close and establish rapport on us. He just sang. I felt weird seeing him as he is not that guwapo pala. This is just my opinion.
Worst, when it was our turn to meet P and all the stars at the VIP room, P never made eye contact unlike the other stars. They were seated like a panel of judges with a huge table in front of them so it is not permissible to hug them or take pictures while you're talking to them. My experience went like this:
Me : Hi JL. Pwede ba akong magpa-autograph?
JL : Oo naman.
Me : Pwede rin ba kitang kamayan?
JL : Oo. (shakes my hand, smiles at me..natunaw ako)
Me : Thank you.
Next, seated to him is S.
Me : Hi S. Can I pls have your autograph?
S : Sure.
Me : Can I pls. shake your hand?
S : Of course. (shakes my hand, smiles at me..wow)
Me : Thank you for performing here. It was a great experience.
(me background sa likod na mga pinoy -- "Oy ate, andar na pila, wala ng chika chika para di tayo magtagal")
I really didnt know if it was for me or someone else as we were all taking our time, treasuring that 2-3 second/moment, the works. Most of those who watched the concert drove 5-6 hours, some drove from Maryland just to see them and paid more than a $100 for the ticket price, had to book into a hotel etc etc. So if they wanted to make their money worth it, with a little hi and a little hello, so what! Everyone fall in a looooong line just to get inside the VIP room huh. Why do they have to give those remarks?
When it was my turn to greet Papa P, he was talking to somebody else beside him, a girl with a gucci purse (not my friend though). Her purse is really nice but I didn't like the way that she stayed there at P's table and was trying to get P's attention. I didnt like the way she talked to P and P was giving him more attention than the ones who were in line.
Me : Hello P. Can I have your autograph pls?
P : (Still talking to the girl- signs my cd and does not even look at me)
Me : Can I shake your hand pls?
P : (Talks to that girl again)
Me : Excuse me!
P : Oh..(finally looks at me- and shakes my hand)
I really felt that it was so rude. Worst, he did it to my friends as well. He didn't even bother to shake their hands. (My friends didnt bother to ask him anymore as he was still busy talking to that girl) Then, on our way out, other ladies were also complaining that he was not that friendly at all. He kept on talking to that girl and did not give them the time/acknowledgement that they deserve. Marami kaming nabiktima. Kainez..
From now on, I am no longer a fan of P. Mas guwapo pa si JL sa kanya. Even S.
Goodbye P. Hello JL.
A shattered dream! He lost a fan!
(tama na daw ang pantasya sabi ng H ng buhay ko:))

What matters most is that at the end of that Saturday night, I got to enjoy the company of my girlfriends and the H of my life--all in one night (minus M who had a fab time as well playing with kids of his age at S's house- thank god Lola E was there to babysit the kids) Oh, and the window shopping that I did the next day with my good friend Louis (just drooling on them instead of looking at eluxury and feeling them alive on my hands/shoulder/wrists.., the very great dimsum at that elegant chinese restaurant which I cannot remember the name, the decor items that I bought at Pier1, the long conversation that H and I had because of the long drive, with M demanding his dvd player be changed every 30 minutes, the bag of cheetos, the cans of sodas, the rest areas, that family time...I totally forgot about P.
Life is really good! :) (and so is shopping);)

BUSY!
It'll be a busy week/month!
This weekend, we'll drive to Jacksonville and stay at my good friend S's house (about 4 hrs drive) and then the next day, we will watch Piolo, Sam , John LLoyd and Pokwang's concert. Front row seats together with the H and girlfriends. I watched ASAP last Sunday at TFC and when they mentioned their concert tour, I screamed! Seriously, I'm excited about it though my friends in Pinas thinks otherwise!
Next weekend, by Thursday, we're flying to New York to meet my BFF I. We will be there until Tuesday. I love spring break! I (heart) NY! It will be my 3rd visit and M's first. (No, make that 2nd because I was still pregnant when we went there so andun na si M when I had my pic at the Statue of Liberty, inside my tummy nga lang)
The week after NY, we're going to Gainesville, Fl (abour 4-5 hrs drive) for H's continuing ed. It's just an hour drive to Orlando. I don't know if I'll be brave enough to drive! Oh and an hour also to Jacksonville to meet S (again..if ever)
And the week after Gainesville, we're having M's 3rd birthday bash! (S will drive from Jax to here so I'll get to see her again)
Toxic! Hectic! But..I love it!!

Another tag
I was tagged by Mrsworkinggirl earlier of this month so that I could update my blog. Write down six unimportant things about me. What comes to my mind? Nothing.:)
This is tough Mama Mee. I had to take a look at my husband and from his view, I came up with this.
My husband thinks the following are unimportant:
1. I make sure my son's toys are back to their boxes at night, that the living room is free of toys before I go to sleep, that the pillows are not on the floor and properly placed on the sofa, the works. When I have my free time (which is never) I would sort the toys and put them in the appropriate basket. One basket has cars, the other has trains, the other has balls and I have one that says small toys and big toys. I have 12 boxes in M's room.
2. I need to fold the clothes while they are still warm and fresh from the dryer. I go to the laundry area 5 minutes before it beeps. H waits until they are cold and wrinkled and folds them 3-4 days after. Sometimes he doesn't fold it at all and just gets his pajamas from the laundry basket (the clean ones)
(me talking to myself again)
How can he consider those unimportant? Am I weird? I don't think so! Ok, so to prove that I'm a normal person, here's my unimportant things from my view:
3. I joined the college dance troupe for fun. After one dance at the gymnasium, I decided to quit! It was hard to attend the practice and go home afterwards. I go home to Cavite and goes to UST, daily!
4. I love Jollibee! I worked there when I was in college during summer break! When we went to the Philippines for M's 1st birthday, I wanted Jollibee to be present at the swimming party! H's family said Jollibee is no longer the "in" thing but I insisted that Jollibee had to be there. Jollibee Mascot showed up and that made my day! I especially loved it when one time, I saw Jollibee acting up as the traffic enforcer along Alabang Zapote Rd. People/drivers were following him. I love that scene!
5. There are times that I do not like to update my blog. I love to visit blogs when time permits!
6. I nursed M for 16 months instead of my plan of 6 months only. I had the smallest breasts among my barkada and I was the only one who had done it and actually loved it! Size doesn't matter in breastfeeding! It's you and your baby (and your family support din-couldn't have done it without H and friends around)
There, I did it. Hope you can do this if you have the time!

Feb 29th
I saw Meeya's and Weng's post and I figured I should post something too! Today is a special day and it will be four years later when I get to use this title. It's been a while. I am still alive. I do visit blogs but just wouldn't want to update. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Then again, a lady can change her mind. It's leap year..I dont see the connection here (forgive me my mind is all scattered ) Basta leap year!
Last week, we decided to move M's 3rd birthday party on the 19th of April (kala mo bukas na..) H signed up for a CEU at Gainesville from April 11-13th. He wanted to bring us along since I will have my spring break from April 7-11th. He'll miss us terribly daw! So he booked a hotel for us three. Now, as I look forward to that break, I figured, would there be anything spectacular to do at Gainesville, FL? There is that museum according to him and according to my good friend E..tada.. we are just a minute away from The Oaks Mall! (Jumps for joy) Pwede na..Bonding time din namin ni M..mag mall! He will have his time and I will get to shop while H attends his class! Yippeee..Everybody happy!
There, I posted something..Happy weekend everyone! Till next update..hopefully not in 4 years! Hugs...

What's up???
I went home early from school and decided to give ourselves a break from the microwave meals! I cooked apritada! H was so thankful that I did just that as he truly, terribly misses home cooked meals! He requested that yun din ang baon nya bukas sa work!
---------------------------------------------
Sadly, M, still, has the sipon! Clear naman ang discharge but it's been so long na! He would always tell, "Mom, sipon." He wants me to give him the kleenex and wipe it from his nose! Sosyal noh! H and I had our share of sipon last week but we're now sipon-free! I wonder if it is because of the weather! Like this morning, it was raining that I had to turn off the sprinklers, real hard and by noon, wow..we're really the Sunshine state. I had to remove my jacket and my blouse (partly opened lang naman) as I was on a three layer outfit! I was tempted to go sleeveless but my gosh, I gained so much this past months! Ako ang nahihiya kahit alam ko naman na walang pumapansin sa akin dito. When I ordered my scrubs from the uniform shop, my size had to be reordered as I was extra small- short pa! Still, I am thinking when will I go back to size 2?? Maybe never..hehehehe..
---------------------------------------------
Our good neighbors R and E invited us this weekend for Superbowl! Potluck style and I was thinking of bringing calamares! H volunteered to cook something else as party starts at 4pm! He's bringing Cocktail Sausage with BBQ sauce! He'll put it in the crockpot! Easy meal ey!! The other neighbors would bring pizza, fries, fried chicken and onion rings! Nagiging americanized na ata kami! Tsk..Gone are the kare-kare, crispy pata, liempo etc! Well, I guess everyone has been so busy these days! Infact, during I's birthday about two-three weeks ago, our friends suggested that we all go to Disneyworld on M's birthday and we'll just have our party at Mc Donalds. For a while we were thinking about it until my friend S told me that the place is crowded and it is not well lighted! Plus, it will only be a party of 4 families if we decide to go there on Spring break! So, I guess, we'll just have the party here at home just like last year!

Have a great week everyone!

Mig's room
Here's a clip to show how kalikot my boy is! Sobra!
Oh, and it will also showcase H's talent in singing the Papaya song..hehehe..
Taken last December, I will be posting a new one soon kasi I have already made some renovations on his room! Apparently, the plan was to bribe him to sleep here but I dont think M likes the idea that he'll sleep here away from us. He is perfecly fine sleeping in our room, right in the middle (parang bantay) of H and me. So, baby number 2 is not in the plan yet! Unless, M starts to sleep here..! Anyway, enjoy naman kaming katabi sya! Wag ka lang matatadyakan in the middle of your sleep! ;)

Where do I begin?
I did not think that it will take me one year to update my blog! The last post I had was a month ago (and 3 days to be exact). Whew..!So, where do I begin?
Maybe, I should start by wishing everyone a blessed 2008! I had a very good Christmas, spending time with my best friend S's family and of course, my loving husband and precious son Miguel! I hope everyone had a great Christmas as well! May we continue to reflect on God's love on us that He gave us Jesus--His birth on a manger, his humility and obedience, may we think of this all the time as we go on in our busy lives!
I have been really quiet and super contented with my life lately. Last month, I began planning our meals, and cooking them of course, and baking some treats in between! I just realized how I loved being a wife and a mom and also the "queen" and really run the household! When MIL was here, I would still plan the menu, do the groceries and all other chores and I will just tell her what to cook or what to prepare but she does all the preps for hubs only. (She never prepared my baon..hmmm..I just thought of that now) It was a good thing that when she left, I only had 2 weeks left before the fall semester ends as I had my official christmas break on Dec 14! That time, I loved it that I had to prepare 3 baon for all of us! It was fun and challenging as I had to make sure that all our lunch bags/stuff are ready before I go to bed! It was a routine I'd do over and over again! I didnt expect it to come real soon! School starts next week! Now, can I ask for an extension of my vacation? Seriously..
Hubs even had a countdown now that I am going back to school! They say that the program is tough! Hubs offered to handle all my chores so I can concentrate on my studies. I've heard that before! It never happened! I dont think it will! :)
For the last two weeks, I have been potty training my son! I need lots of patience, really! Hit or miss at times! But I think M is doing pretty well! I may just be expecting too much from him. The first 2 days were really easy as he even said he wants to go to potty even when we were shopping at Target. That, for me, was incredible! Too bad, on the 3rd day, he would say, "Mom, no potty!" I would ask him, "shall we go to the potty?" He would say "no mom!" Minutes later, he would pee on his briefs and unto my wood floors!!(Hingang malalim) Still on that stage, I would blame myself as I know and expected that it was time for him to go to the potty but I did not insist! I would just ask him to wipe the floor afterwards! He would tell me, "help me mom please!" How can I resist that?
Ok, now where do I end? I guess I need to go to bed as this has been a long day for me! Being a stay at home mom is really the toughest job in the world! Wait, I need to thaw out my chicken wings from the fridge! Sometimes, even when I'm already in bed, my mind makes a mental list of all the things that I need to do before taking my zzzz's and the list that I need to accomplish tomorrow! (Updating my blog stayed for a month in my things to do list and to post the pics is something I want to accomplish tomorrow) H says I need to shutdown my mind! Just like this laptop! But, how can a mom do that? Just how?

1st day of September
We all woke up rejuvenized after a busy week. I am happy because my camera is back! Thanks to all who left a message (Weng, Ela, Meeya and Nice.) Salamat talaga ke Lord! Last Thursday, my neighbor/friend A called me and informed me that her son R found the camera at the back of their car! I cannot remember when I rode their car. (Matanda na talaga ako eh heheh) When I got my digicam the next day, I checked it and the last picture taken was dated Aug. 12. What matters most is I have it with me, with my favorite precious pictures. Yipeeee.. :)
After eating our breakfast and to liven up our morning, we went to visit lola's garden in the backyard! To keep her busy aside from babysitting M, Hubs designated a part of the backyard as her vegetable garden. Lately, we have been harvesting sitaw and it feels great to eat fresh vegetables freshly picked from the backyard. Today was a lucky day as we got to harvest green bell peppers! Please click this photos to see the in-law and the hubs harvesting from the farm este garden!
As expected, for dinner we had stuffed green bell peppers and they were really yummy! Naubos agad namin! Even M loved it!
I don't know if the mango tree will bear fruit knowing winter is coming soon! Who knows, we never expected we'll have the green bell peppers but here we are enjoying the fruits of lola's labor!

CONT OF Seaworld
(to be continued)
Last July 8, H, M and I went to Seaworld Orlando and had a wonderful time with Shamu. We arrived from Jax at 10am and wanted to stay until 10pm for their fireworks. Seaworld had a new show called "Shamu Rocks" which was scheduled at 9pm. We were in the stadium at 8:30pm. We just took a walk in the nearby viewing station and after 2 minutes, the stadium was closed. H saw how my jaw dropped and he immediately hugged me and whispered "Dont worry, we'll come back tomorrow night." I said "It's fine, I've seen Shamu many times" (although this one is a new show as they always update their shows so visitors get something new everytime you go to Seaworld. H said "Plastic, basta babalik tayo bukas. I saw your face and I don't want that look." Isn't H adorable? So I smiled at di na nagpaka plastic. H will do anything to please me. Haay..
The next day, together with the A's, we went to Typhoon Lagoon , a water theme park by Disney. Since my son adored the waters, this place was heaven sent for him. I cannot believe that I had to be under the sun the whole day, even at 12noon. (Yaikks. Though H said di naman daw ako tinatalaban ng araw, hehehe) M did not want to get out of the surf pool. This place resembled the Shipwreck Island that we had in Panama City although this one is of course, HUGE! The surf/wave pool had a boom sound, like an alarm, which went on whenever they would release giant waves and M would run to his dad whenever he heard that. But still, we can't let him out of the waters even with that scary sound. He would just come back once the giant wave was gone. Anyhoo, di na kami makita sa dilim ngayon, hehehehe..

Then at night, at around 730pm, we excused ourselves from the A's and we went back to Seaworld. By 8pm, we were in the stadium even though the show will start at 915pm. Sigurista na kami.
The title "Shamu rocks" is an undestatement. I was really amazed at how they can train such killer whales. The lights and sounds that went with the show were truly amazing. I thank H that we did came back for this show. It was worth it.

We got to see the fireworks too at 10pm although it did not match the Disney's Magic Kingdom last New Year when we celebrated New Year at Disney. For me, I still love Disney's fireworks right at the famous castle. It always reminds me of my favorite show "The wonderful world of Disney." Hmm..am i revealing my age? THat was decades ago at channel 7. Heheheheh..
We had dinner at Chilis although the A's called us that they ordered chinese for dinner and they are waiting for us at their timeshare. We got home at 1130pm. Its a good thing the time share had a kingsize bed so the three of us could fit in and sleep at once.
The next morning we were supposed to go to Downtown Disney at 10am. For some reason, H wanted to go home already since it will take us about 6 hours to get home. So I kissed my good friend S and waved bye bye. I saw S surprised with that look - Bakit uuwi na kayo?" I explained that H wanted to go home early. Besides, we'll be seeing the A's again next month for J's 1st birthday. I wonder if they will sleep at their house since my IL is still with us. I only have 2 guestrooms available. Maybe, they'll sleep at C's house. Oh well..
That sums up our short but sweet vacation. I was thrilled that I got to spend time with H and M and my good friend S as well. It's nice that S and I have been friends since college days and oh no..its been more than a decade ago.!!!

1st week of July
I got inspired with Meeya's blog. She was able to tell everything that happened to her..in a nutshell. Gleng!! Here I am trying to update with what's the latest or rather what's the last..Whatever!
Last July 4, our friend B invited us at their new home. And boy oh boy, it was such a huge house and he's got his own pool and his own badminton/volleyball area right beside the pool. He's got a storage which is about the size of a guestroom. He's got 3 kids aged 4,3 and 2 and they all love to swim! B shared his story that even at 12 midnight, when he can't sleep, he would just take a dip at the pool and he swears it is the most relaxing thing that he does lately after a hard day's work. My H commented that if that would be him, he could probably sleep in the pool. Even our little buddy R said, even before we leave their house "Daddy, when are we coming back to this house?" That was such a cozy house they got. Kids and adults would love to hang out at their place.

We came at 3 pm and since it's potluck style, we brought lumpiang shanghai. B cooked his famous kare kare and spaghetti. The L's brought ice cream while the M's brought barbecue and hotdogs. At 4 pm, it started to rain so we all stayed inside the house and ate all the food. By 6 pm, the rain stopped so we all went outside and plunged ourselves in the pool. We all had a great time. The plan was to go to the Marina Civic Center by the beach to watch the fireworks but nobody wants to drive at 9pm. The host B was ready with his own fireworks and my son M got scared of the sparklers. It was really a fun evening.
The next day, July 5, I started packing for our trip to Jacksonville to attend M's 8th birthday. H says that packing our luggage for a weekend trip it is one thing that he hates. He is so grateful that I do all those stuff now which includes deciding for him what to wear. He cannot complain that I brought this clothes instead of the ones he would like to wear because he does not pack his stuff anymore. Besides, since we got married, I do all the shopping for him. I can pack for a trip in a minute and make sure that I bring all the toiletries that we need. I have a toiletry bag filled with soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc and refills this bag everytime we're done with a trip. That way, I do not forget anything.
Target time for departure on Friday was 9am. Thanks to H's work, we left the house at 2pm. My friend S has been calling me as she prepared lunch but sadly I had to tell her that we'll arrive at dinner time instead. Our other good friends/neighbors, the L's and the M's are all spending the weekend at S's house. Imagine 3 families with 2 babies each all spending the night at S's house..S has a 4br house so we all could fit in!
Early Saturday morning, I heldped S cooked breakfast. I cooked eggs, spam, corned beef in that order. Ubos agad ang breakfast then we started preparing for lunch. Parang wala kaming ginawa kundi kumain. M had a great birthday party with lots of presents to boot.

By 4pm, we headed to the pool again and H and I were really envious of their kiddie pools. Pambata talaga. My son was scared of the slide though. Here's a clip and we had another feast. As always, my son did not want to leave the pool when it was time to go home. Iyakan talaga muna..

We went back to S's house and this time, we had dinner. We had paella, spaghetti, chicken, lumpia, etc.
The next day, Sunday, we drove to Orlando to see Shamu. A fave word for M is "SHAMU, SHAMU". It was such a great day with H and M. We had lunch at Seaworld and dinner at TGIF afterwards. We headed to S's timeshare for a much deserved rest at 11pm. We were really dead tired by then.

Swimming
My son loves to swim! That's why we're dreaming of having our own pool. But as I add up all the expenses that will go with the pool, I scrape off the idea.
It is a good thing that the community pool is just a block away. It is also a good place to meet our neighbors. Last year, we go there almost everyday. This year, we go there on weekends..
After a day's work, H and I together with M went to the pool. M now wants to swim on his own and does not want to be held. Kala mo kaya na nya. I might enroll him in swimming class. I dont know yet. Bahala na si Batman!
I was trying to get him in the video but M is so fascinated seeing himself on the video. He would say "Swimming.." but he prefers to look in the camera na lang.
Here's a clip. It was almost 7pm when we went there so kami na lang ang tao sa pool! We thought it was better, para me privacy. Maybe, masarap nga may sariling pool!
